About Pete & Cori
Pete and Cori have been practising Iyengar Yoga since 1998. They both did their initial teacher training with advanced level teacher Jayne Orton at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Birmingham and are certified by Iyengar Yoga UK. They continue to attend classes, workshops and teacher training with more senior teachers.
Pete qualified as a yoga teacher in 2013 and now holds an Intermediate level 1 certificate. He has had a long term interest in bodywork and is also a qualified masseur. He says “Iyengar Yoga is mindfulness in action, combining discipline with awareness."
Cori started practising Iyengar Yoga while living in Bristol and was hooked from her very first class, struck by the transformative nature of the practice. It helped her to gain physical strength and also she found it gave her a sense of improved well-being. She says "Yoga is a powerful tool to help develop self awareness and take responsibility for your own physical, emotional and spiritual health" Originally qualifying as teacher in 2008 Cori has since attained her Intermediate level 2 teaching certificate and has attended classes at the RIMYI (Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Institute) in Pune, India. She is particularly interested in the therapeutic and healing potential of yoga.
